  I’ve always been a big dreamer and learned the secrets to manifesting at an early age.  Even when I was in high school, I was a big dreamer and although I didn’t know this at the time, manifesting was something that was innate .  As most people,  I had a few bumps on the road in my early teenage life but something happened to me that changed the course of my life forever.  What happened to me?  Theater!  I believe my story has great lessons on manifesting your dreams into your reality.

  I have no idea where I got the theater itch from but I do remember signing up for my 9th grade classes and my counselor asking me what kind of classes I wanted to take and I asked him if there was a theater class.  At that point, I hadn’t even been to a theater production and yet I knew that I wanted to do theater.  There was a class and he put me in it.  Right off the bat I got the role of Conrad Birdie in the musical “Bye, Bye Birdie”.  I had never acted, sung or danced and I had no idea if I could do any of those things but I did know that I wanted to get leading roles so I did what most people manifesting don’t do on a regular basis.  I practiced.

  Some people believe that by simply visualizing or praying, their dreams will be manifested which is completely wrong.  There has to be an action behind the manifesting!   In my case, I wanted leading roles and I was behind most of my peers in skill sets so I practiced twice as hard!  Do you feel that you’re far behind in your skill sets in comparison to other internet marketers?  If so, here’s your action step, practice twice as hard!

  Back to my story. 

  At the end of my 9th grade year, my theater teacher took us on an outing to watch a musical theater show at a performing arts high school that catered to students wanting to pursue a career in music or theater.  The show was “Hello Dolly”.  I was mesmerized by the production and knew that I wanted to attend that school but it was a very prestigious school and was difficult to get into.  After the show, I went to the men’s restroom and while I was there alone I looked at myself in the mirror and repeated to myself over and over again “I will attend this school and I will get every lead!”  I had a burning desire inside me and I was not going to give up easily.  Do you have a burning desire to succeed in your business?  If not, chances are that you haven’t worked on your “why” hard enough.  Your why is what will differentiate you from everyone else that desires financial freedom.

  A few months after that fateful day that I visited that high school, something magical happened.  After weeks of auditions, I received an acceptance letter!  The next three years defined me.  I learned the work ethic necessary to follow through with my dreams, I learned to do things despite what others think of me,  I learned that I am a creative genius and that the collective creative is available to me whenever I wish and I learned that dreams backed by hard work are the crux to manifesting.  In the end, my hard work and dedication paid off.  I was accepted into a highly competitive and prestigious performing arts high school and over the next 3 years I played Paul San Marco in “A Chorus Line”, John Proctor in “The Crucible”, Tevya in “Fiddler on the Roof”, Manolo Costazuela in “The Odd Couple- Female Version”, the narrator in an original production called “The American Way”, Olin Brit in “The Music Man” and chorus member roles in “Me and My Girl”, “Barnum”, “42nd Street” “South Pacific” and ”West Side Story”.  Not bad for a latino kid that hadn’t acted, danced or sung a note until the age of 14.

  So, my question to you is, are you working hard, taking the necessary steps to make your dreams come true or are you only dreaming, hoping that one day your dream will come true?  Work hard, practice, visualize and you will find that manifesting is easier than you thought.

   There’s so much information out there on being a network marketing leader but there’s something that most people are missing in their branding strategy and that is their why.

When network marketers hear the word branding, they think of creating an image that people recognize like Nike, Dell or Apple but most people don’t really look at the internal doings of each individual company.  I’ve created this post to further dissect what branding really is and how you can incorporate these same techniques into your business.

In order to explain how to properly brand yourself, let’s take a look at a few different companies.

Dell has been around since 1984 and has been a leader in home computer manufacturing.  We know them as a company that makes computers but I guarantee that when they first started making computers, they wanted to be more than just computer makers.  Everyone has a mission and Dell is no different.  What was their why?  Why did they make computers to begin with?

Now let’s take a look at Apple computers.  Apple has been around since 1976 and, as Dell does, they too make computers but their also known as innovators as they’ve successfully branched out of home computing to cell phones, TV recorders, MP3 players and have done so successfully.  While Dell still makes computers, Apple makes more than just computers.  If Dell were to try branching outside of the home computing market, chances are they wouldn’t be as successful as Apple because people see Dell as home computer manufacturers and see Apple as innovators.  So, what’s the difference between these two companies and why is one able to branch out while the other isn’t?

While Dell brands themselves as a company that makes computers Apple brands themselves as a company that challenges the status quo and thinks differently.  Let’s take a closer look at what this means and the impact it will have on you being a network marketing leader.

Dell:  1.  We make great computers.  2.  We design them well and they’re user friendly.  3.  Wanna buy one?

Apple:  1.  Everything we do we believe in challenging the status quo and thinking differently.  2.  We challenge the status quo by desiging beautiful and user friendly computers.  3.  And we happen to make good computers, wanna buy one?

Apple starts with why!  Dell start with what.

What= Every company knows what they do, what product they make whether it’s computers, shoes or crackers.  What do you do?

How= What is your unique selling proposition, what do you have to offer that others don’t?

Why= Very few people can clearly articulate WHY they do something!  What is your why?  What drives you to do what you do?

My challenge to you is to figure out your why, how and what but don’t make the same mistake Dell made, start with why and you WILL be well on your way to being a network marketing leader.

Something happened to me tonight that could have ruined my day but it had the opposite effect.  As a matter of fact, “the Incident” was the recipe for a wonderful evening.

First of all, i’ll admit it, I was feeling a bit crabby today.  So, when my wife called to see if I wanted to go to dinner, I agreed.  We decided to go to a place we’d never been to before, Joe’s Crab Shack   Now, I was already feeling crabby and i’m not much of a crab kind of guy as I feel that there is so much effort that goes into breaking the crab apart for so little meat but i’m always open to something new.

Heather and I are planning a spontaneous mini vacation so we ordered our food and discussed our travel options.  Somewhere between discussing Cancun and Mazatlan, our server returned with our food… and then it happened!  As our server was putting the food on our table, the warm, drawn butter slipped from the plate and literally exploded all over me!  I had butter all over me, on my purple striped shirt, my jeans, my hair and some of it got in my eye.  Butter was everywhere!

I was now at a crossroads, I could have allowed my crabbiness to get the best of me and take it out on our server or I could be kind and understanding, which is the road I chose.  I too was once a server and had many mishaps like this one so I wasn’t going to be mean to her.  I simply got up and walked to the bathroom to clean up which is where it happened, I started to laugh!

That laughter not only helped me feel better, I immediately felt stronger emotionally.

My wife is a Laughter Yoga Professional.  I guess you can say she laughs for a living amongst other things.  For those of you that aren’t familiar, laugter yoga is a form of yoga that incorporates laughter, the best medicine.  Whenever we laugh, we feel good.  I dare you to try and laugh and not feel good, it can’t happen.  There are so many health benefits to laughing, even if you’re not laughing at a joke or anything outward,  the brain doesn’t know the difference.  So when I started laughing in the restroom as I was cleaning up, I immediately felt better.  The rest of the evening was amazing as the manager comped our meal and seeing that I hadn’t ever really eaten crab before (yeah I know, weird) he gave us more crab than we could handle, free dessert and he’s going to dry clean my shirt.  All’s well that ends well

So today I learned that no matter how difficult your day is going, if you’re having a frustrating day trying to come up with content for your business, a team member quits, your product arrives broken, your computer is causing you problems, etc. there is nothing that a little laughter can’t heal.  So next time you’re feeling crabby, try laughing a little.

Everyone’s thinking it but no one has said anything yet! Come on, admit it, you were restlessly laying in bed last night thinking to yourself “Michelle Alpha Pescosolido is evil and she must have made a deal with the devil!” I mean how else could she have created the success she’s experienced in only one year! Now, I’m sure she paid her dues way before that year but seriously, one year? Do you believe you could do what she did without having a meeting with Beelzebub? Now, before you answer that question, i’ll let you in on a little secret to business success… wait for it, wait for it… YOU MUST OBEY YOURSELF!

Now, i’m speaking for Michelle Alpha Pescosolido here but i’m pretty sure she’s had her fair share of challenges too so what’s the difference between Michelle and a network marketer that’s been trying to build a business for a few years?  She’s mastered her internal dialogue and has learned to obey herself in regards to the discipline and focus it takes to succeed!

One of the hardest things for people to do is to ignore all distractions, all thoughts that are coming into your mind at all times and all doubts.  If you’re going to be a successful internet marketing superstar, just like michelle alpha pescosolido, then you must know what you need to accomplish in the most effective and efficient manner and that takes mental discipline.

“Whatever cannot obey itself is commanded”!  Do you think michelle alpha pescosolido spends her days being commanded by someone else?  Nope!

Think about that for a second, if you don’t obey yourself, you will be commanded.  Are you a slave to your thinking?  Do you ever find yourself doing something else when you should be working on your business?  The bottom line is that we all desire more for ourselves.  A better business life, a better home life, a better recreational life and we must always approach life from the perspective of surpassing ourselves.  If you’re not continuously trying to surpass yourself, your stagnant and even worse, you’re withering!  By creating the focus and discipline that is necessary to ignore your internal dialogue while you’re working, asking you to see what the weather will be like tomorrow, asking you to make sure you paid your electricity bill, asking you to figure out how much money you’ve spent on your business this month or whatever else your mind keeps asking you to do, DON’T DO IT!  Witness the thought, observe it, banish it and keep working!

So, how can you create the lifestyle of your dreams?  Simple, continuously work on improving and surpassing yourself and continuously work on obeying yourself in what you want to accomplish.  You know what you must do to reach the next level, you just haven’t developed the habits which are done by, you guessed it, obeying yourself.  Conquer yourself and you shall conquer the world!

Now, I’m just guessing here but I think Michelle Alpha Pescosolido created the success she did in one year by obeying herself and mastering her thoughts.  Then again, doesn’t michelle alpha pescosolido look so smug with her horns and tongue sticking out…

  Whoa!  That’s what I have to say about this awesome meditation I just found from my friend Jason Shawver.  Let me tell you a bit about Jason Shawver, he’s as authentic as they come. 

  Jason has the distinction to having worked with some of the top names in the network marketing industry.  Jonathan Budd, Katie Freiling and if my memory serves me right I believe he also created some of the modules for Jonathan Budd’s “Social Media Mastery” course.  Needless to say, Jason knows what he’s talking about!

About 3 weeks ago, I had the privelage of chatting with him and receiving an impromptu 2 HOUR consultation.  He could have easily charged me hundreds of dollars but this guy is just pure awesome!  He gave me the most constructive and productive advice that i’ve ever been given in regards to my business.  He is also an extremely creative artist so, naturally, he started his own web design company.  If you need a blog or website, contact him directly.

In honor of it being my 10 year anniversary of moving to Denver, I sat down to write my Denver story but it’s turned into a 3,069 word opus!  I’ll have to edit it down the next few days and i’ll post it when i’m done with it.  In the meantime, I want to share a short story with you.

Just before I left Los Angeles for my big move, I used the Best Buy gift certificate that was given to me by my co-workers as a goodbye gift and purchased a few cds to listen to on my way to Denver.  On a friend’s recommendation, I bought a John Denver cd.  I had never heard his music but thought i’d give it a try.

I popped it in when I was around Vail, Colorado and as I was listening to it, “Rocky Mountain High” came on and I immediately understood why I had purchased that cd.  I was meant to hear that song at that exact moment.  I replayed it over and over again and became extremely emotional.  Something felt really right about moving to Denver although I also felt I was making a mistake since I had left my friends and family behind for absolutely nothing in Denver.  There wasn’t anything waiting for me there, absolutely nothing!

In honor of the courage I had to abruptly uproot myself and  do something that made no sense whatsoever, here’s the late John Denver singing “Rocky Mountain High”.

I can honestly say

“I was born in the summer of my 25th year. Coming home to a place i’d never been before. Left yesterday behind me, you might say I was born again. Might say I found the key for every door. When I first came to the mountains my life was far away…  But the Colorado Rocky Mountain High, i’ve seen it raining fire in the sky.  Shadows from the starlight, softer than a lullaby.  Rocky Mountain High. “

There’s a serious problem in the home based industry right now that actually works to our advantage.  I don’t know if you’ve noticed but the number of product launches that have occurred over the past year and a half has tripled and it has literally left more than half of the industry utterly and completely overwhelmed!

If there were a home based business year end recap on the last day of the year, the word “overwhelm” would be the word of the year.  Overwhelm overwhelm, overwhelm!  Three months ago, there was an entire launch called “What’s Working Now” based on the idea of overwhelm and how to cut it down.  Seriously, the amount of information that is being offered to us is completely ridiculous but here’s why you must take advantage of this rush.

As everything else in life, this “phase” will eventually slow down and we will be on to the next evolution of the home based business industry.  Oh yeah, you heard me right, evolution.  The industry you see today will probably not be the same in 3 years.  There will be some evolution.

Think about it, just 3 short years ago, we were working on figuring out what this whole social media thing was all about and how to leverage it.  Now, it’s becoming the status quo.

So, if you’ve ever wanted an opportunity to evolve and grow along with an industry, this is your chance but you must learn to focus your time and energy otherwise you will be… you guessed it, overwhelmed.

Here are the 4 steps I suggest you take in order to create a more focused business:

1)  Choose 1 training program and stick with it!-  With the proliferation of information that’s been going on, it’s more important than ever to simply stick with one training program and see it to completion.  Product launches, upsells and downsells are part of the game, don’t hate it, embrace it but by embracing it you’re telling yourself that you will not under any circumstances stray from your current path of education.  If you’re currently doing a training program and a new offer comes along that promises to surpass anything you’ve ever been offered before, don’t do it unless you’ve completed the training you’ve already started.  This is a great way to get stuck in the getting ready to get ready mode.  Just pick a training program and stick with it.  Pick and stick.  If you would like more guidance on a clear cut path to what skill sets you need to develop and what programs will teach you these skills, watch my “4 skill sets to success” video at http://www.jasonsiebold.com/resources/

2)  Unsubscribe from unnecessary e-mail lists.-   Go through your e-mail inbox and pick the top 4 people that send you e-mails that have added the most value to your life and unsubscribe from the rest.  You heard me right, even if i’m on your unsubscribe list, do it, unsubscribe me!  I want you to be successful and learning to manage the amount of information you’re exposed to is one of the most important lessons you will EVER learn.

3)  Create a schedule for yourself.-  I’ll be the first to admit, I really don’t like being told what to do and I REALLY don’t like it when someone tells me to schedule my time.  Here’s the reason I suggest it though.  When you schedule your time, you’re accountable for your time and if you don’t focus your energy on the schedule you’ve created for yourself, you’ll only have yourself to blame.  Also, it’s a great way to minimize the feeling of being overwhelmed because you can schedule different trainings and tasks for yourself throughout the week and know that you touched on everything you needed to and not feel like you’re neglecting anything.  I wrote a post on internet marketing leadership that deals with this subject and how to apply it to your life.

4)  Decide to be a leader-  It doesn’t get simpler than this my friends.  Being a leader is nothing more than a decision and if you’ve ever wondered what it takes to become a leader, all it takes is the decision to be one.  Once I made this realization, my productivity levels rose 100% because I was in the mindset of being a leader simply by making the choice.  Also, once you decide to be a leader, your energies shift and you naturally focus on the task at hand.

There’s a lot more where this came from but I chose those 4 because those were the main 4 things that have helped me focus myself and start creating the content I always knew I was capable of creating.

I was a little late in recording this video as just a few minutes prior there was a long line of people waiting before the store opened. Still, the idea is there, if you create a good product, people will want it. However, the question is, how do you create a product? Here’s what I have learned from personal experience.
Product creation can be an overwhelming and daunting proposition. Yet creating one’s own information products is the best way to start creating momentum for oneself and an excellent way to start building your brand.
I’m currently working on creating 3 different products and in light of what I’ve learned over the past few years on product creation, I wanted to write this to let you know that it doesn’t have to be that difficult. If you follow some basic steps product creation can be simple.

Step 1: What’s the competition doing? I always like to see what is already out there. The first thing I always tell my students is to sign up for a bunch of quality newsletters and see what other people are saying and promoting. It’s exactly how I learned about internet marketing. I followed several newsletters religiously and I dissected their campaigns and purchased their products. Even if you don’t want to create your own product, this is a must in my opinion if you are going to learn anything about internet marketing. Get in the trenches and start learning what others are doing and saying and learn through osmosis.

Step 2: Find the gap. Are there any gaps of information in what others are offering? Can you create a product on the gap of information? This is why it’s so important to see what other people’s products are. I’ve met a few affiliate marketer’s that have made their fortunes promoting other people’s products but along with promoting other people’s products they’ve created a simple product filling in a gap for the product they’re promoting and giving it away as an incentive for buying from them. It’s a great way to get people interested in buying from you. If you make your product unique, people will buy from you instead of someone that isn’t giving anything away. If you can find a gap of information, create the product and people will flock to you.

Step 3 What do you already know? What information do you already have that can be compiled into a product? The bottom line is that product creation is nothing but re-packaging. If you have access to some information products on the subject you want to create a product around all you have to do is compile it all together, also known as a “mash up”, give it your own little flair, re-package it and distribute it. It’s what most information marketers do to create their own products.
If you don’t have any information, find someone that does. Perhaps you can create an audio series based on someones knowledge. I’ve seen this done so many times. As a matter of fact, this is how my mentor got his start. He contacted someone that had the knowledge on the subject he wanted to create a product around and he did a series of 9 tele-seminars, recorded them and sold them. If this is the route you decide to take, you can even transcribe the calls, create a manual based on the information taught and put it together as a package. The more modules you add, the more valuable your product will be. For example, wouldn’t you rather buy a product that has video, the audio of the video to put on your i-pod, the transcripts of the video, a tutorial on how to implement what was taught in the video and an action step guide? It’s not difficult to do.
Also, if you don’t want to create the product yourself you can outsource. It will cost you quite a bit for someone to create the product for you but it’s an option.

Step 4 How will you market it and how much will you charge? Product distribution can be really simple if you let it be. Social media is a great way to get your message out but it’s up to you how you will distribute it. Also, how much will you charge for it? The best way to determine this is to see what other people are charging for their product, weigh the amount of information you’re providing and make your product competitive. Ultimately, it’s up to you to decide how much value you are offering but don’t undervalue yourself and don’t be afraid to charge $300-$1000 for your product. If you’re offering a lot of value and it’s information people need and want, let them know that your product is exactly what they’re looking for and charge them for it.
Product creation is an excellent way to either drive business as a part of a marketing funnel or to give away for free as a list building strategy. It doesn’t have to take weeks or months to create the product, just decide on what you’ll create and do it! There are many creative and innovative to offer a valuable information product that will benefit you, your prospects and your customers.

Have you ever wondered what habits a successful person might have that you might not? Have you ever wondered what their daily method of operation is and why they receive such different results than those who don’t have money? It was something that I often wondered and studied daily. The fact of the matter is that successful people do have different habits and their evenings do look different.

Back in 1998, there was a concept that I became familiar with that has completely revolutionized the way I think. You see, I decided to shut myself off from the world and completely focus my energy on my education. I’ll have to say it was probably not the healthiest decision and i’m not recommending you do it, but there is something to be said for the decision I made. I spent a year in isolation with nothing but my books and my thoughts and I can honestly say that I am who I am today because of that year of solitude.

I came to the realization that there were 2 types of focus, downstream focus and upstream focus. Upstream focus is the type of focus that has one fighting an uphill battle. Have you ever wanted to achieve something but never had the discipline to do the small tasks to achieve it? That’s because you had upstream focus and were fighting an uphill battle.

Then there’s downstream focus. This type of focus is the kind that stays with you wherever you go, whatever you do even at night when you’re getting read to go to sleep. This type of focus usually comes

when you are focusing in, what is called, your “Friday night essence”. Your Friday night essence is that one thing that you WISH you could do for a living. That thing that you think about day and night and perhaps even dreamt about it as a kid. Friday night essence is that thing that you’re made of that has you staying home of Friday nights when all your friend’s are out partying and having a good time, you’d rather be home working on your Friday night essence. What moves you? What inspires you? What gives you reason to live, your raison d’etre? Once you find your Friday night essence, you’ll become unstoppable!

Your Friday night essence will fall in one of 4 categories.

1) Business
2) Arts
3) Professions
4) Sports

Your Friday night essence might fall within 2 of these categories. For example, I love business and I love arts. I’m creative but I have an entrepreneurial mind too. So, I write, create websites, come up with fun things to talk about and a slew of other creative things but they all fall within a business category hence my Friday night essence falls within the business and arts categories.

On the other hand, some of you might say that sports is your Friday night essence but, unless you’re young, fast, talented and trained, chances are that you won’t be very successful at it. Occasionally, and only occasionally, sports can be one’s Friday night essence if you’re really interested in the business side of sports. Then it is your Friday night essence. Otherwise, sports are probably blocking your true Friday night essence.

Once you have found what your Friday night essence is, you’ll need to do exactly as this great American hero did. He pulled himself out of an impossible, stagnant trap. It can be done and it has been done!

He dropped out of school at the age of 14 and was working as a dock worker in one of the roughest ports in America. He lived on the streets, was illiterate, crude and unrefined. Opportunities were lacking and his future was bleak. He was headed for a dead end life. Although he had everything going against him, he still had a desire to pull himself out of this bleak abyss. He had a burning desire to become a successful writer but being illiterate, this turn of the century dock worker had no chance to ever sell a piece of literature. With the odds stacked against him, he used one simple technique to not only teach himself how to read and write, he became one of the highest paid authors in American history. That man was Jack London, author of Martin Eden, The Sea Wolf and Call of the Wild.

 

How did he do it? What secret did he have that no one else did? Here’s the secret! Are you ready? Here we go.

He devised a course of study that broke up his day into 4 mini days. There were 4 specific physical movements that he established that allowed him to educate himself and become such the celebrated author we know of today. Those 4 physical movements or mini days were:

1) Reading
2) Grammar
3) Self Education (a library study program)
4) Writing

These 4 mini days were divided before and after his full day income mini day and on weekends. Even after he pulled himself out of the docks and out of the abyss he was in, he continued his mini day system. As a matter of fact, he stayed on this mini day system to the last days of his life.

Once Jack London had discovered his Friday night essence, he broke it into mini days and using this technique along with downstream focus he was able to become one of the richest writers of all time.

So, how can you apply this lesson to your own life? Well, let me tell you what I did.

One of my main problems was laziness! I didn’t have the motivation to get up and take the steps I needed to take in order to achieve my ultimate goal of running a successful business. The laziness came from the fact that I was overwhelmed with the amount of information I needed to absorb. There was just too much to learn, so I had made a decision to not start at all.

Then one day, I woke up and realized that my dreams were slipping away so I decided to take some action. I then remembered what I had read about Jack London years earlier and decided to install a similar program into my life.

For me, I had to learn:

1) Copywriting
2) Web Design
3) Internet Marketing (various programs)
4) Social Media Marketing

So I created a chart with the days of the week on it and for each day of the week I had a specific subject I was to learn starting and ending at a specific time.

1) Mondays and Wednesdays- Copywriting from 7pm to 10pm

2) Tuesdays and Thursdays- Internet Marketing from 7pm to 10pm

3) Fridays- Social Media from 7pm to 10pm

4) Saturdays and Sundays- Web Design from 8am to 10am, Copywriting from 1pm to 3pm and Internet
Marketing from 3pm to 6pm.

With such extreme focus, laziness quickly left my body and my downstream focus started taking shape to the point that I eat, sleep and breathe this stuff on a daily basis.

So, you’re wondering what a successful person’s habits are and what their evenings look like? Wonder no more.

If you are to achieve your goals and make your dreams come true, chances are you might have to install a similar mini day plan into your life. It doesn’t have to be as extreme as mine but start somewhere. Before you know it, you’ll be knowledgeable and an expert in your field, just like Jack London was.

As a kid, were you ever in fear of being left behind?  I don’t know about you but growing up I used to hear my friends saying those 3 words a lot, “wait for me!”

The comedian George Lopez does a funny bit where he’s talking about his childhood and how his family and friends would pile into the car to take a ride to the ice cream shop and George would have to go to the bathroom and he would say “I need to go to the bathroom but wait for me ok?  Wait for me, don’t go.”  It’s pretty funny actually.

What’s also funny is how as adults we continue bringing those fears into our lives but in different ways.  For example, I had a coaching session last night where I was expressing how back in 2006 I had an amazing opportunity that I squandered away. 

You see, I was one of the original 200 people that bought Mike Dillard’s Traffic Formula before it was even a product.  For those of you that follow the Direct Sales industry you probably know that Traffic Formula changed the face of the industry forever and is directly responsible for creating a quite a few millionaires.  If the names Jonathan Budd, Brian Fanale, Melanie Milletics, Norbert Orlewicz, Raymond Fong and Fernando Ceballos don’t ring a bell then chances are you’re pretty new to this industry.

I joined the Traffic Formula conference calls, I took the notes and I participated whenever we were asked to but the one thing I didn’t do was take action and as a result I have lost millions of dollars and all because I didn’t take action and eventually found myself running behing the leaving train saying “wait for me!”

You see my friends, here’s something I want you to know about me, I was a master procrastinator.  I was a thief!  I stole from myself, from my family and from you.  I stole the ideas that I had to offer the world but was afraid to and I    stole the value that I could have offered you back then that might have had an impact in your life.

I want to apologize for stealing from you.  I’m sorry.

Ok, that was 4 years ago, the past, so what am I doing now to make sure I never do this to myself or to you ever again?  First of all,  i’ve made a commitment to bring you every idea I can muster and to never steal from you again.  Second, I will forever be diligent with my time and continue producing quality content to bring value to your life and third, I have made a commitment to myself to become the BEST Jason Siebold that could possibly exist on this planet at this time.  I also have made a commitment to continue learning and to be at the forefront of upcoming trends.

I just got off Skype with my graphic designer and he was telling me of a friend that is refusing to join the social media revolution.  His friend is a traditional ad agency kind of guy and he’s fighting the revolution tooth and nail.

I can understand why he’s fighting it though because the social media revolution can put him out on the street, unemployed and no new skills to bring to the market.  Actually, I believe that social media will eventually iradicate print and radio ads forever!  Bold statement?  Just ask Gary Vaynerchuck.

In his book, “Crush It”, Gary Vaynerchuck discusses how social media is already revolutionizing how companies market their products.  Bottom line is that we can now send out ads in seconds and begin receiving responses instantly by using platfors like Facebook and Twitter whereas it would take days perhaps even weeks before we see full results from print, radio and tv ads.  “Crush It” is a great read, I highly recommend it if you haven’t read it yet.

If you are not using social media in your marketing efforts, you are being left behind!  I don’t care if you’re in internet marketing, real estate, you own a dry cleaning company or you have a home based embroidery business if you’re not using social media, you are being left behind!

Are you taking advantage of the social media train?  It’s here my friends and it has already taken quite a few people to their destination.  Question is, will you be one of them?

No doubt about it my friends, social media has revolutionized the way business is run.  Think about it, we can literally wake up with an idea and by the end of the day thousands of people could know about it , all with a simple push of a few buttons.

Can you imagine how you might feel if a few years from today some of the people that you started out with are extremely wealthy and all because they implemented social media strategies to their businesses while you waited in the sidelines?  I don’t want you to be a thief like I was a few years ago.  Learn from my mistakes and do the work.  Otherwise you’ll find yourself running behind your friends saying “wait for me!”

Social media is a powerful, powerful tool that can help you create your fortune.  Is it scary?  It can be if you don’t know what you’re doing but nothing worth doing has ever been easy.  Learn it, apply it, love it!
